Alan brings more than three decades of experience and insights into political campaigning, stakeholder engagement and government decision-making processes to CPR.
Member for the south-eastern Melbourne seat of Bruce from 1996 – 2016, Alan served as Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Minister for Defence Personnel and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister and Cabinet Secretary. Before entering Parliament he was a local councillor, ministerial adviser and union official. He also worked in the Victorian public service where he built a network of relationships with current decision-makers and influencers across a broad range of portfolio areas.
