Daniel Smith
Daniel Smith is General Manager of CPR's Perth Office.
Prior to joining CPR Daniel was Deputy Chief Policy Advisor in the Western Australian Department of Premier and Cabinet, assisting with the coordination of policy development and implementation across a broad range of policy areas.
Daniel was previously a Media Advisor and Policy Advisor on Minerals and Petroleum to former State Development Minister Clive Brown in the first term of the Gallop Government and has extensive experience in government approvals and stakeholder management.
Daniel gained valuable private sector experience as an External Affairs Advisor at both Western Mining Corporation and BHP Billiton, focusing on government approvals for projects in the Northern Goldfields.
Earlier in his career, Daniel spent six years in market and political research.
Daniel brings broad government and industry networks to CPR and a strong understanding of all levels of government.
He holds a Bachelor of Business (Economics) and is currently studying a Master of Business and Technology through the University of New South Wales.
