Garrie Gibson
Garrie Gibson served as the Federal Member for Moreton (Qld) in the House of Representatives 1990 ö 1996. He has been involved in politics for more than 35 years in both Queensland and NSW.
In 1997 ö 1998, Garrie was Executive Director of Clubs Queensland, responsible for Government Relations, Sponsorship and membership development.
Garrie was the first Chief Executive Officer of the Sydney 2002 Gay Games, establishing the company and attracting $4.5 million in corporate and government sponsorship for the conduct of the Games.
Before joining CPR, Garrie was a Senior Consultant in marketing, market research, communications and public relations with a business services firm working in the hospitality industry, with specific responsibility for clubs. Within his client list were some of the countryâs largest and most successful clubs, as well as the major industry associations of ClubsNSW, ClubsQld and the Leagues Clubsâ Association of NSW.
Through his political experience and relationships, combined with his experience as a consultant to major business entities, Garrie has a unique understanding of the requirements for business in managing their relations with government.
