Justin Coomber

Justin Coomber is the General Manager of CPR’s Brisbane office.

He has 17 years experience in newspapers and television in Brisbane, Sydney and London. Starting as a journalist on The Courier-Mail, he was a chief of staff on The Telegraph-Mirror in Sydney, a sports producer with Worldwide Television News in London, and the chief of staff at Ten News Brisbane.

Justin was also the Ten Network’s chief of staff for their Sydney Olympic Games coverage.

In 2001, he joined the Beattie Government as a senior media advisor, was General Peter Cosgrove’s media advisor for the Cyclone Larry Operation Recovery Task Force in 2006 and was awarded a special commendation for outstanding leadership during the relief effort by John Howard and Peter Beattie.

Justin also performed the same role for the Bligh Government following the Mackay floods and the South-East Queensland storms of 2008.

Before joining CPR, Justin was the Executive Manager for Strategic Communication and Education at Queensland’s Building Services Authority, where he worked closely with building and construction industry leaders on a diverse range of issues

He holds a Bachelor of Arts with journalism and literature majors from the University of Queensland.
