Cathie King

Cathie King has a thorough knowledge of local, State and Federal Government and extensive experience in the areas of government relations, community and stakeholder relations, communications planning, strategy development and issues management.

Cathie has successfully managed communication campaigns in the business, political and community arenas over many years and for a diverse range of organisations.

Since 2004, Cathie has been working as a government relations adviser servicing clients in the areas of development, ICT, advertising, transport, hospitality, tourism, mining and and manufacturing.  Cathie has handled a range of sensitive issues on behalf of the private sector involving State and local government, the media and the broader community.

Cathie has developed and maintained a strong network of contacts including Government officials and public servants within South Australia, other States and the Commonwealth over the 15 years she has worked in Government.

Cathie King has a strong links with all SA Cabinet Ministers and their senior staff established during her time working as as Chief of Staff to Hon Patrick Conlon MP and prior to that as an adviser to Premiers Bannon and Arnold.

Prior to returning to SA in 1998 she worked in a national role in Canberra. This significant role involved her in organising and implementing major local and national media and community campaigns throughout Australia.
