David joined the Canberra CPR team after five years as the founding executive director of the Competitive Carriers’ Coalition. David led the CCC’s campaigns for fundamental reform of the policy and regulatory framework for the communications industry on behalf of all the leading competitors to Telstra.

These campaigns led ultimately to the Government’s announcements in 2009 that it would create the National Broadband Network and introduce legislation to separate Telstra’s network and retail businesses, and the ACCC’s decision in 2010 to comprehensively review its pricing principles.

Alex Gosman, General Manager - Health and Allied Services

As a long term Canberra resident, Alex began his career with in the Commonwealth Public Service, primarily on working on industry policy issues from 1975 to 1990. From 1990 to 1999 Alex was the Executive Director at the Australian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (AEEMA). Kristy served as the project leader for a number of Qantas’ international marketing and communications campaigns including the joint Qantas Tourism Australia G’Day LA event in the United States and the introduction of the Qantas A380 into service in the Australian and United States markets, as well as managing media and communications for the New Zealand market.
Kristy’s Government background has seen her hold Media Adviser positions at a Federal and State Government level, most recently as a Media Adviser to Tony Abbott during his time as Health Minister and throughout the 2007 election campaign. Kristy also spent time working for the now Western Australian Government, during their time in Opposition. Prior to joining CPR Kristy was a Senior Adviser to Qantas Airlines, responsible for issues management, media relations, media training and crisis communications. Her time at Qantas also afforded her the opportunity to develop an intimate knowledge of regional affairs and regional infrastructure planning, particularly in transport, as she held responsibility for managing media, government and community relations for Qantas’ regional carrier, QantasLink, including the airline’s international expansion. In addition, she has advised the airline’s executive team on communications strategies during major aircraft incidents and industrial disputes.
